Rice (Paddy) — Yellow stem borer, Leaf folder: 16.2 g A.I. 4.05 kg formulation; waiting period: 53 days. Sugarcane — Early shoot borer, Top borer: 30.4 g A.I. 7.59 kg formulation; waiting period: 147 days
Contains Chlorantraniliprole 0.4% as the active ingredient; Formulated as Granules (GR) for direct field application; Insecticide category product for pest management; Registered use in rice (paddy); Targets yellow stem borer and leaf folder; Ryanodine receptor-activating mode of action
Chlorantraniliprole is an anthranilic diamide insecticide that activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscle cells, causing uncontrolled release of calcium ions from internal stores. This leads to impaired muscle regulation, paralysis, feeding cessation and eventual death of susceptible larvae. Because it is applied as granules, it provides prolonged availability of the active ingredient in the root zone and standing water of paddy fields. Chlorantraniliprole is classified under IRAC Group 28 (ryanodine receptor modulators).
Maxxogen GR (Chlorantraniliprole 0.4% GR) is broadcast directly onto the soil surface or standing water in the rice field, without dilution, following the timing recommended on the approved product label.
