03How does Atra Shield – Atrazine 50% WP work?+
Atrazine is a triazine-group herbicide that acts as a photosynthesis inhibitor. It is absorbed mainly through the roots of germinating weeds and translocated upward to the leaves, where it binds to the D1 protein of Photosystem II, blocking electron transport in the photosynthetic pathway. This disrupts the plant’s ability to produce energy, leading to chlorosis and death of susceptible weeds. Atrazine falls under HRAC/WSSA Group 5 (Photosystem II inhibitors).
04How should Atra Shield – Atrazine 50% WP be applied?+
Atra Shield (Atrazine 50% WP) is applied as a spray after dilution in the recommended volume of water, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, ensuring uniform coverage of the soil surface and emerging weeds in the target crop.
