Contains Tebuconazole 10% + Sulphur 65% as active ingredients; Formulated as a Water Dispersible Granule (WG); Fungicide category product for disease management; Registered use in chilli, among other listed crops; Controls powdery mildew and fruit rot; Dual mode of action: ergosterol biosynthesis inhibition and multi-site respiration disruption
This combination product acts through two complementary mechanisms. Tebuconazole is a triazole (DMI) fungicide that inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis by blocking the 14α-demethylase enzyme, disrupting fungal cell membrane formation (FRAC Group 3). Sulphur is a multi-site fungicide that disrupts fungal respiration and cellular metabolism through non-specific action, and is classified under FRAC Group M2. Together, they provide combined systemic and protectant disease control, particularly effective against powdery mildew.
Tavix (Tebuconazole 10% + Sulphur 65% WG) is mixed with the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in chilli, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
