This combination product acts through two complementary mechanisms. Carbendazim is a benzimidazole fungicide that inhibits beta-tubulin assembly during fungal cell mitosis, disrupting cell division (FRAC Group 1). Mancozeb is a dithiocarbamate fungicide that acts as a multi-site protectant, interfering with several enzyme systems involved in fungal cellular metabolism (FRAC Group M3). Together, they provide combined systemic and protectant disease control.
Ciaz (Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP) is mixed with the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in groundnut, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
