Contains Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% as active ingredients; Formulated as a Suspension Concentrate (SC); Fungicide category product for disease management; Registered use in chilli, among other listed crops; Controls anthracnose and powdery mildew; Dual mode of action: respiration inhibition and ergosterol biosynthesis inhibition
05How does Azomaxx – Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% w/w SC work?+
This combination product acts through two complementary mechanisms. Azoxystrobin is a strobilurin (QoI) fungicide that inhibits fungal mitochondrial respiration by blocking electron transfer at the cytochrome bc1 complex (FRAC Group 11). Difenoconazole is a triazole (DMI) fungicide that inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis by blocking the 14α-demethylase enzyme, disrupting fungal cell membrane formation (FRAC Group 3). Together, they provide broad-spectrum, dual-mode disease control.
