Kravix – Paclobutrazol 40% SC

Kravix is a plant growth regulator manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Paclobutrazol 40% as a suspension concentrate (SC) formulation. It is applied at the flowering initiation stage in pigeon pea. Paclobutrazol is a triazole-type growth retardant that restricts vegetative growth by inhibiting gibberellin biosynthesis.

As a suspension concentrate, Kravix is diluted in water before spray application. The product is intended for use strictly as per the approved crop, dose and application-timing recommendations on the product label for pigeon pea.

  • Contains Paclobutrazol 40% as the active ingredient
  • Formulated as a Suspension Concentrate (SC)
  • PGR category product for growth regulation
  • Registered use in pigeon pea
  • Applied at the flowering initiation stage
  • Gibberellin-biosynthesis-inhibiting mode of action

Paclobutrazol is a triazole-type plant growth retardant that inhibits the biosynthesis of gibberellins by blocking the enzyme ent-kaurene oxidase, a key step in the gibberellin biosynthetic pathway. This reduces cell elongation, resulting in shorter internodes and restricted vegetative growth, while also favouring reproductive development in treated crops.

Kravix (Paclobutrazol 40% SC) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray at the flowering initiation stage in pigeon pea, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.

  • Use strictly as per the directions on the approved product label
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and spraying
  • Avoid spray drift onto sensitive or non-target crops
  • Keep out of reach of children and away from food, feed, and water sources
  • Store in a cool, dry place in original packaging
